About Us

Broad Views on Broadway is a Musical Theatre Company that strives to provide an enriching, nurturing environment for artists simply trying to be artists. Broad Views seeks to broaden peoples' views of typical Broadway production by displaying a mix of not only Golden & Contemporary musicals, but also original works. The company will participate in workshops and hold mock auditions to enhance the versatility of each company member, as well as expose the public to our work. Each company member will be required to audition for 5 productions and will be cast in at least 3. Overall, our mission is to provide a creative environment in which artists can thrive.

 

Miranda Amitrano

Co-Founder
Miranda is a senior at Manhattanville College pursuing her BA in Dance & Theatre with a concentration in Dance Therapy. She also serves as the Props Mistress for Manhattanville under Ken Rothchild for productions of AS YOU LIKE IT with direction by Zach Morris, SHE LOVES ME, and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC both with direction by Mark Cherry. Miranda is also a dance student and choreographer. Most recently her piece, ILUNGA, was shown as a part of Manhattanville College's Fall Dance Concert 2012. She has also worked with Gregory Bain, Mike Lounsbery, and many other talented set and scene designers.

Janelle Lawrence

Co-Founder

Janelle is a current Manhattanville College Musical Theatre student.​ In her career she has appeared in ANTIGONE and TWELFTH NIGHT with Love Creek Theatre Company, SHOUT! THE MOD MUSICAL  and SHOWTUNE with direction by Mark Cherry. She has worked with vocal coaches such as Ron Cappon and Faith Esham. She has been a Costume Assistant to Liz Prince for three years. She most recently worked on readings of Vieux Carre with direction and an appearance by Austin Pendleton and produced by Jen Danby and Lisa Raymond and Production Assistant for The Blonde Bombshell Project 

(AEA) direction by Austin Pendleton and written and acted by Jen Danby. She identifies as a performer, librettist, composer, coach, and artists.

Eric Lopez
 

Production Assistant

Eric Lopez is from Long Island, New York and He is 19 years old. NYC/Off-Broadway Credits Include: "Bound for Broadway, a musical revue" (Performer) at the Underground Theatre,"Bound for Broadway, a musical revue" (Performer) The West End Theatre. Eric is an alum of the SOA European Touring Chorus and currently apart of DCINY Lincoln Center Singers in NYC, which performers works of composers such as Stephen Swartz (Godspell, Wicked), Handel (Messiah), and Eric a Whitacre (Sleep, Lux). Lopez has performed "The National Anthem" for many local politicians, members of the US Congress and members of the American Embassy. Lopez has performed at famous landmarks such as Carniage Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Eastmen Theatre, Cathedral at Notre Dame in Paris, St. Marks Cathedral in Venice, Roman Arena in Verona, Cortina Concert Hall, Fontainebleau Concert Hall and the American Cemetery in Luxembourg. Eric is currently attending Franklin Pierce University in Southern New Hampshire with a Major in Childhood Education and Minor in Musical Theatre/Public Relations. Lopez is represented by the Karen Greer Talent Agency.
